My “Wall of Yarn” – The Beginning

wall of yarnHere is the start of my “wall of yarn”!! Isn’t it beautiful?! This “wall” is composed of four 9-cube cubbie units. My hubby stacked them two by two. That means I have a total of 30 12″ cubbies to fill with yarn! I’m so excited to get my yarn into all of these cubbies, although I don’t honestly think it is all going to fit.

My plan is to get all of my yarn entered into my stash here on Ravelry too. I’m thinking the best way would be to do one plastic container (which it is all stored in now) at a time and upload it into Ravelry then place the yarn in the cubbies. BUT I’m so excited to fill up the cubbies so I’m tempted to just fill it all with yarn then gradually upload one cubbie square at a time. Of course, the problem with that is that I may never actually get it entered into Ravelry.

How do you store your yarn? Do any of you have a “wall of yarn”? I’d love to see pictures if you do! Also, do you have all of your stash documented on Ravelry? Did it take forever?! I really think it is going to be nice once I have it all uploaded.
