I can hardly believe that January is almost over! It’s amazing how quickly time flies anymore. This Sunday is the Super Bowl & I love that both Harbaugh brothers are coaching the teams. Then, before we know it, Valentine’s Day will be upon us! I really feel like it was just Thanksgiving the other day.
So, will you be doing anything fun or exciting for Valentine’s Day? We usually don’t. I hate to admit that but it is true. My husband is very romantic in an over all way. He says romantic things all the time and does things to help me out whenever he is able. But he isn’t really big on cards and gifts. I’d imagine part of that is because money has been tight for a lot of years throughout our married life.
I don’t mind though. I know deep down inside that he loves me more than anything else in the world. I don’t need a card or gift to prove his love for me. Of course, I sure wouldn’t complain if he decided to get me some wholesale red roses by GlobalRose.com or took me on a romantic date!
Of course, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to celebrate this holiday, or your love in general. One year, when money was very tight but my husband wanted to do something romantic, sticks out in my memory the most. Our daughter was little, probably about 3 years old, and I was taking a nap with her when my husband got home from work. Before waking us up he scattered Hershey Kisses all over the floor of our apartment. Then, when he woke me up, he told me that he “Kisses the ground I walk on”. So romantic! That Valentine’s Day will always have a special place not only in my memory but in our daughter’s as well.
Bye,
Lisa

That’s SO sweet! And you can’t beat waking up to a bunch Hershey’s kisses surrounding you. I just can’t believe it’s already Valentine’s Day.

That is adorable!!! Howard can be romantic at times, but it’s an overall subtle thing for us as well.

Awww! Sounds like our Hubby is a true romantic! It’s the little gestures that show they know us so well and are thinking about us that really mean the most! I’m curious to hear what he does for you this Valentine’s Day!
