The 4-1-1 on Life Skills & The 4-1-1 on Step Parenting Book Reviews

The New Year New Reads Event  is here! What an awesome opportunity to win lots of great things related to reading! There are tons of blogs participating so you’ll want to be sure to visit them all between January 9 – January 23 and enter as many as possible. A Life Full of Laughter is excited to offer some really great reading related items!

I’m excited to introduce you to our next sponsor, Michele Sfakianos, who wrote both “The 4-1-1 on Life Skills” and “The 4-1-1 on Step Parenting”!  She’s a great author and really has a knack for explaining things in an easy to understand manner.

The 4-1-1 on Life Skills” a very practical, well written and easy to comprehend book.  It is just what I needed when I was preparing Ashley for life on her own.  It is a wonderful manual of all the things needed to go out into the world.  It even includes many topics that we many not think of as parents, such as cleaning supplies, food spoilage, buying a car, cooking safety and so on. I’m sure this will be a “go to” book for many years to come.

The 4-1-1 on Step Parenting” is another really great book that Michele has written.  Although I don’t personally deal with this situation, in this time and day I am in the minority.  Most families will encounter some aspect of step parenting in their life time.  This book is the perfect companion to sort through those muddy waters.  I’m sure it’s difficult to blend families but it is possible and can turn out beautifully.  Especially if you act upon all the great advice in this book!

Head on over to the New Year New Reads Event to enter for your chance to win a both “The 4-1-1 on Life Skills” and “The 4-1-1 on Step Parenting”! Tell all your friends about it too! Then visit Michele Sfakianos’ website where you can read sample chapters from both books.

Bye,
Lisa

I got the 4-1-1 on Life Skills also! I was thinking it would have been perfect for my fiance’s sister as she was transitioning out of foster care.
